Nathan Skogen of Grand Junction died Friday, June 12, 2009, in Carbondale as the result of a motorcycle accident.
Nathan was born July 14, 1991, at Columbia, S.C., to Terry and Kathi McNeel Skogen. He spent his childhood in Pennsylvania and Colorado and was a senior at Fruita Monument High School. He was a student and hardwood floor worker. Nathan was a member of Canyon View Vineyard Church. He enjoyed Par Cor, motorcycles, snowboarding, air soft paintball, hiking and rock climbing and mountain biking. Nathan loved to encourage and give hope to others about the Love of God. He wanted to be a medical missionary.
Nathan is survived by his parents, Terry and Kathi; three brothers, Ben, Sam and Jon Skogen, all of Grand Junction. His sister, Rachel, preceded him in death.
A memorial service has been held. In lieu of flowers, please give money to Canyon View Missions Program at CVVC, Attn; Betty McCain, 736 241⁄2 Road, Grand Junction, CO 81505. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
