Needle and I Quilters thanks

Dear Editor,

The Needle and I quilters in Carbondale and the Quilters of the Rockies in Glenwood Springs would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who worked to make our 9th Annual Mother’s Day Quilt Show a success. Special thanks to Sandy Boyd and the staff at the Glenwood Sewing Center for letting us use the shop as a central collection, staging and storage area. Thanks to the Hotel Colorado and their very helpful staff for providing a lovely space to display our show. Most of all, thank you to the public for your attendance and continued support of our celebration of the art of quilting!

As a part of the show, everyone attending was invited to cast their vote for their favorite quilt. The results of the “People’s Choice” voting are: First place – Marilyn Hollenbaugh for “Baskets to Keep; Second place – Linda Baggerman for “Vintage Moments”; and Third Place – Carole O’Brien for “Kelsey’s Heart.”

On behalf of the Quilters of the Rockies and the Needle and I quilt guilds,

Glenda Cheney and

Carole O’Brien
