New Castle convenience store robbed
NEW CASTLE ” A man dressed for the occasion robbed a New Castle convenience store this morning, getting away with approximately $100.
According to a press release from the New Castle Police Department, the Stop N’ Save was robbed by a lone gunman around 5:30 a.m.
The suspect is described as Black or dark-skinned Hispanic male with acne scars, 20-25 years of age between 5-6 to 5-8, 180 to 220 pounds with minimal hair and no facial hair.
It was also reported that the suspect was wearing a long black T-shirt with a large graphic on the front of a man pointing a handgun.
The suspect reportedly brought an item to the front counter, then asked for something behind the counter. The man then pulled out a handgun and demanded all the money in the register. The clerk complied and the man left the store and drove away with what’s described as a champagne colored Infiniti.
The Garfield County Sheriff’s Office, and police departments from Glenwood Springs and Rifle assisted in the search for the suspect.
