New Castle Family Fitness keeps up with the times
Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado
New Castle Family Fitness (NCFF) has recently added six new trainers, growing its total to 13. It also created a reasonably-priced small group personal training program, entitled “Maxx Fit”.
Maxx Fit is designed around functional exercise which helps an individual gain full body strength to be able to perform everyday life challenges. An outdoors version of the program called “Park Fit” is also being offered.
NCFF is also offering free spinal screenings with Chiropractor Dr. Vukelich, D.C. The screenings will be offered through the fall.
NCFF hosted a YogaFit workshop for Yoga certification in July, and will host a certification for a piece of functional equipment, a “Ripcore-FX,” on Aug. 14. This piece of equipment helps in the battle against forces which challenge posture, stability and balance in three-dimensional space.
“If we move and engage in sports in three dimensions, doesn’t it make sense to train in 3D?,” said Cathy Lee, NCFF owner. “Imagine hitting a golf ball, lifting your child into a car seat, or lugging around a heavy suitcase in the airport; all these activities are done standing upright, with tension that is loaded from one side of the body [asymmetrical loading].”
“In the gym, we often train in straight planes of motion or in one dimension [bicep curls, leg press, seated shoulder press, etc.],” Lee continued. “You can do what you love, do it longer and perform at higher levels with proper 3D training.”
The facility is also hosting an AFAA Personal Training workshop Aug. 13 -15.
Learn Zumba, a program which fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves, at NCFF.
“Our goal is simple,” Lee said. “We want you to want to work out, to love working out, to get hooked. Zumba fanatics achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exciting hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!”
A barbell class is also being offered at NCFF. “BODYPUMP” will strengthen your entire body, and the 60-minute workout challenges all the major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises, such as squats, presses, lifts and curls. Great music, awesome instructors and your choice of weight inspire you to get the results you want.
