Norm was living in Mesa, Ariz., when he went home to be with the Lord. He was 70.Norm was born in Doylestown, Pa., to Daniel and Nora Histand. He married Grace Arline Selzer in Hesston, KS, Dec. 18, 1966. He was a painting contractor and a member of the Mennonite Church, in Glenwood Springs for many years.He enjoyed fishing, hunting, computers and traveling. He was a real people person who was always ready to help anyone with his many skills or in any way he could.Norm and Grace have traveled for 24 years all over the country and made hundreds of friends. Spending most summers in Gunnison and winters in Casa Grande, Ariz., having just moved to Mesa, Ariz., this winter. He was loved and will be missed by all.Norm was proceeded in death by his parents, Daniel & Nora; siblings, Edna, John, Mabel, and Robert.He is survived by his wife, Grace; sisters, Lena, Mary, Nancy, June; brothers, Herbert of Pa.; Walter of Fla.; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.There will be a memorial in Casa Grande, Ariz. on Thursday, Dec. 3, and also in Grand Junction at the Fellowship Church, 765 24 Road on Sunday, Dec. 6, at 5 p.m.Cards and condolences can be sent to Grace Histand, c/o 3626 G 4/10 Road, Palisade, CO 81526
