The Garfield County Fair and Rodeo wrapped up last weekend in Rifle. The fair opened with multiple 4H and FFA events and the family rodeo on Monday night. The PRCA Xtreme bull riding was Wednesday night, where roughly 40 riders came from across the country to take a wild ride in hopes of beating the eight second buzzer. Thursday night was the PRCA ProRodeo, honoring veterans and teachers at the outdoor arena. Friday night Chris Janson and Josh Turner performed for a full crowd at the fairgrounds. Saturday was the parade down Railroad Avenue and the demolition derby at the outdoor arena. Finally the fair concluded with the monster truck destruction tour on Sunday afternoon.
