Nourishing community

Dear Editor,

With the recent arrival of a new business at Sopris Shopping Center, I feel the need to remind the COMMUNITY of the presence on Main Street of two extremely capable, quality oriented, LOCALLY OWNED restaurants which specialize in fine pizza and other related menu offerings.

These restaurants have been serving Carbondale and the surrounding area for many years and deserve your support, not just for their business interest, but for the fact that they are your neighbors and your friends. Your kids go to school together, you hang out together. The money you spend with them stays in the COMMUNITY. They employ your kids.

If we don’t all stick together and support one another, we will surely wind up like another valley community from which I came and to which I don’t care to return.

Thank you for listening.
