Allan Wesley Blandford (June 29, 1939 — March 26, 2017)

Allan Wesley Blandford, 77, of Silt, Colorado, passed away March 26, 2017. Allan was born to Joseph and Thelma Blandford on June 29, 1939, in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

Allan loved to fish in the Colorado mountain streams. He was a very patriotic man who loved the USA and defended the Second Amendment to our Constitution, while supporting our service men and women. He was a stoic, prideful, stubborn, opinionated man, but he was always very loving. He absolutely adored his daughters and he kind of liked his granddaughters. Allan was hard to read because of his dry sense of humor in which he loved to joke around with anyone who was able to handle it. He was a hardworking man, union strong, and taught us all to work hard and fight for what we believe in.

Allan is survived by his daughters, Nina Mallo and Verlene Lee; his son, Chris Lee; granddaughters Tessla Durbin and Kysha Mallo; brothers, Darwin, Gene, and Dwayne Blandford, and his sister, Norma Girard. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Nadine Anderson and Kathy Blandford, and one brother Charles Blandford.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 31, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at the Rifle Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson’s disease foundation at: support.pdf.org in memory of Allan Wesley Blandford.
