Allen Lee Pickett (May 16, 1933 — October 24, 2018)

Allen Lee Pickett passed away at home October 24, 2018, in Parachute, Colorado. Allen was born in Grandin, Missouri, to Carl and Clarice (Lewis) Pickett on May 16, 1933. He married Cheryl Husted on June 22, 1968, in Rifle, Colorado. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June.

Allen enjoyed hunting, camping & fishing, four-wheeling, playing cards and raising roses. He started working in the oil field in the 1950s and worked his way up to retire as an area superintendent.

Allen is survived by his wife, Cheryl; Sons, Wayne (Vikki), Jim (Susan), and Randy (Violy) all of Texas; Daughters, Carren Pickett of Texas, and Kathleen (Pickett) Kofoed of Colorado; Brother, Orvan (Lela) Pickett; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Vernon and David, and his sister, Palma.

Services will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at the Valley Senior Center in Parachute, Colorado. In lieu of flowers family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Valley Senior Center, P.O. Box 932, Parachute, Colorado 81635.
