Andy Lietz

Andy Lietz went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2016.

Born and raised in Chicago, he graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology in 1984 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Andy moved to Colorado ten years ago where he enjoyed all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer.

Andy was a beloved member of The Orchard Church of Carbondale and Western Rockies Emmaus. He was passionate about solar energy and was an integral part of the Sunsense Solar family for over seven years. He was president of the Carbondale Chamber Board in 2012. Andy was the heart and soul of Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors here in the valley. He will be sorely missed and never forgotten.

Andy is survived by his mother Renate Lietz (Gunther) of Chicago IL, his brother, Martin (Sally) Lietz and niece Jessica of Lake Tahoe, NV.

Heartfelt thanks to Homecare and Hospice of the Valley and his caring Doctors and Nurses. The family deeply appreciates the love and support of Andy’s relatives, friends and coworkers.

Andy’s Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 8 at noon at The Orchard Church in Carbondale, CO.
