Betty Jane Antonelli (November 4, 1936 — February 16, 2017)

Betty Jane (Boydstun) Antonelli was born on November 4, 1936, to Howell Boydstun and Lea (McClung) Boydstun in Silt, Colorado, in their family home. Her Grandmother, Thankful McClung, helped deliver her as the Doctor did not arrive in time. She passed away on February 16, 2017, in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Betty graduated from Silt High School where she had attended all 12 grades. She married Roy Savage in 1954, and they had two sons, Robert and Richard. They divorced in 1985. Betty was an active member in the Silt Community belonging to the Rebekah Lodge, Congregational Church and the Silt Historical Society. She was a very quiet, compassionate and loving person.

Betty married John Antonelli in Silt on August 4, 1996. They lived in Denver for several years before moving to Grand Junction. Betty worked as a house keeper in the Silt and Denver area and did volunteer work at the library. She loved her flowers and her cat, Ralph, whom they had for many years. She had many wonderful friends that have helped her over the last few years.

Betty is survived by her husband John, son Robert (Cindy) Savage of Silt, grandson Buck, and numerous friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Richard and brothers Lawrence and Leonard.

A memorial is being planned for later in the spring. Memorial contributions may be sent to Home Care of the Grand Valley, 1131 N. 21st Street, Grand Junction, CO, 81501.
