Beverly Ruth Julius

Beverly Ruth Julius, 92, passed away on April 4, 2014.

A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m, Wednesday, April 9, at the First Christian Church in Rifle with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Beverly was born Sept. 15, 1921, in Coal Creek, Colorado. She graduated from Florence High School in 1939 and attended Western State College. She married her high school sweetheart, Andrew Julius, on Oct. 28, 1944.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband and her daughter, Laurel. She is survived by sons, Andy (Nancy), Jon (Bonnie), Charles (Cindy) and Carson (Jerrie), 13 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren.

She taught for 36 years and had a passion for providing an excellent education to all children. She was Honorable Mention Teacher of the Year in 1971. Beverly appreciated public libraries — she was rarely known to be without a book (and a Diet Pepsi) in hand.
