Carl Lee Bailey (July 22, 1949 – June 13, 2017)

Carl passed away in his home on June 13, 2017, after a long and brave battle with diabetes.

Carl volunteered with Basalt Rescue as an EMT in the early 1980’s and also with the Eagle County Sheriff’s Deputy Reserve program. He held a Master Electrician’s License and worked for several electrical contractors in the valley, including J.C. Electric where he had worked for over 25 years. He enjoyed boating, camping and 4-wheeling with his family and friends.

Carl is survived by his wife, Regina, daughters Denise (Eric) Vetter and Tamara (Doug) Eberhardt, his sister Kathy Wood, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 4 nieces.

A memorial gathering will be held at 1:00, July 29, 2017, at the Basalt Fire Station, 1089 JW Drive, in El Jebel. Bring a dessert to share as well as your fond and funny memories of Carl.
