Carolyn Ann Seelbinder

Carolyn Ann Seelbinder of Flagstaff, AZ, passed away on October 20, 2015. Carolyn was born in Hazel Park, MI, to Charles and Betty Callahan. She defied an early death by being a force of true heart and strength. At the age of 12, Carolyn had her first of many heart surgeries and was given a pace-maker. She was advised having children would be impossible; yet she had two beautiful children with her husband of 30 years, Ray Seelbinder. Ray and Carolyn moved to Colorado in 1981 and raised their family on Cottonwood Pass. She taught her children the meaning of hard work, honesty and true grit. An avid horsewoman, Carolyn was either elbow deep in horse manure or on her horse’s back. Without a doubt she is now galloping above in heaven on her beloved Lou. “The wind of heaven is that which blows between a horse’s ears.”

Carolyn is survived by her children Kaj (Vikki) Seelbinder, Taylor (Jess) Westley, grandchildren Colton & Chase, mother Betty McGuire, sister Karen Krueger, nephew Jared (Megan, Colin) Pangus and former husband Ray Seelbinder. Her ashes will be spread on Cottonwood Pass, joining her father and many loved pets.
