Clair Leroy Strouse

Clair was born to Lyle and Leona (Willis) Strouse in Denver, Colorado. He served his country in the United States Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, entering the service in 1965 and being honorably discharged in 1969. A skilled carpenter, he spent his life building beautiful homes throughout Colorado, Arizona and Oklahoma, and he retired as a construction superintendent in Texas. His favorite things were hunting and fishing, country western dancing, and most of all, enthusiastically cheering on his children and grandchildren as they followed their own pursuits.

Clair is survived by his brothers; Bill (Janie), Steve (Gloria), Marvin (Shirley) and David (Cheryl); son, Douglas (Marta); daughter, Heather; and his grandchildren Dustin, Hailey, Cassandra, Constanca, Tyler and Emma; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He will be laid to rest with full military honors at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado on Wednesday, September 9th, at 3:00 p.m.
