Former Glenwood Springs resident Connie Delaney died Wednesday, May 19, 2004, at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif. She was 80.

She was born on Feb. 8, 1924, in Los Angeles. In 1946, she married Robert Delaney and moved to Glenwood Springs. She is survived by her husband; sons Rob Delaney and Ralph Delaney; and daughter, Diane Delaney, all of Glenwood Springs; grandchildren Laurie Delaney and Ryan Delaney of Glenwood Springs; and brother Ralph Wheat of Northridge, Calif.

Funeral services have been scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, May 28, at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church in Palm Desert, Calif.; and 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, at St. James Episcopal Church in Meeker, with interment at Highland Cemetery in Meeker.

A memorial service will take place later in Glenwood Springs, at a time to be announced.
