Connie Faye Hicks

Connie Faye Hicks, 56, lost her off-and-on battle with depression on August 5, 2014. She was born in Denver, Colorado, on August 16, 1957.

She grew up north of Denver on a small farm. Attending college at CSU, she met her husband of 36 years, David W. Hicks. They started a family together, and enjoyed many years raising their three kids in and around the Boulder, Colorado, area before moving to Carbondale in the early 1990s. She lived the most joyous years of her life as a loving wife, mother and grandmother throughout the Roaring Fork Valley in the many years that followed. Those who knew Connie were truly blessed, and know the deep, true nature of her love for all other people.

She is survived by her husband, David Wayne Hicks, her three children, Andrew, Brian and Michelle, as well as her granddaughter Shea.

A Celebration of Connie’s Life will be held in Sopris Park on Friday, August 15th, at 2 PM.

In honor of Connie’s loving and nurturing nature, a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital would be preferred in lieu of flowers.
