Cornelia Clare Minor
Our Beloved Mother Cornelia Clare Minor, 75, passed away peacefully with her children by her side on July 16th, 2014. She was born September 30th, 1938, in Aurora, IL, the daughter of James F. and Bernadine A. (Straus) Curtin. Connie was a graduate of the Class of 1956 of East Aurora High School.
On August 30, 1958, Connie married Noel Joseph Minor in Aurora, IL. They were longtime residents of Yorkville, IL. There she worked as a bank teller and volunteered at the Jaycees. She loved playing poker once a month with many close friends, mostly to socialize. She especially loved the vacation every year to Chetek, WI, to enjoy time with a large gathering of family and friends. A highlight in her life was going to New Orleans to see the Chicago Bears win the 1985 Super Bowl. Connie and Noel moved to Colorado in 1990 to be with their children and grandchildren. When Connie lost her husband in 2008 she continued to travel with her children and made many new friends. Most recently she was a member of the American Legion in Carbondale, CO. Mom was full of love, joy and patience, and she was gifted with a very witty sense of humor. She is most adored for her commitment as Mother and the unconditional love for her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Scott (Becky) Minor, Peggy (Rich) Wilson, and Keith (Doris) Minor. Grandchildren are Joe Wilson, Chadwick (Lizzie) Minor, Jason Wilson, Dietrich Minor, Eric Minor, Emilee Minor and Great-grandchild Eli Minor. Siblings Carol (Don) Jensen, Jim (Linda) Curtin, John (Laurie Ann) Curtin, and Neal (Joan) Curtin; and brother-in-law Bob (the late Ginnie) Orland. Connie was preceded in death by her Husband Noel J. Minor, Sister Ginnie Orland, Brother Richard Curtin and granddaughter Alyssa Minor.
