Dale Donald Kivisto (May 30, 1943 — Nov. 16, 2016)

Dale Kivisto passed away at the Rifle Veterans Home after a long and brave battle with illness. Dale was a gentle and caring man with a wicked sense of humor. He loved to laugh and tease his friends and family.

Dale came to deer hunt in Colorado in the fall of 1980, and it was here he met the love of his life, Sharon.

Dale is survived by his two wonderful children, John Dale and Cindy, and his stepchildren, Capri, Janai and Shane, as well as 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He loved them all very much.

Dale worked as a diesel mechanic, and he liked to travel the backroads and mountain roads from Glenwood Springs to Grand Junction. Dale loved to jeep with his faithful dog Patches by his side.

Dale requested no services, but if you should happen to see a red jeep with a smiling man and his dog, please think of Dale — he would like that.
