David F. Martin
David (Dave) F. Martin of New Castle, Colorado passed away at Valley View Hospital, Glenwood Springs, Colorado on March 30, 2015
He was born in Salida, Colorado on May 30, 1954 to Fred and Bette Martin.
Dave grew up in Grand Junction, Colorado and moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in his early 20’s. He loved his family, the outdoors: especially hunting and fishing, sports: he was an avid follower of all Colorado teams, and working around the family home on their acreage. He was employed by RFTA (Roaring Fork Transportation Authority) for close to twenty years where he made many friends.
He is survived by his wife Jean Rowe, his son, Matt and granddaughter Kaya; his mother Bette, his sister Jackie (John), his brother Russ (Sheila); a nephew, five nieces, and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Fred.
Services will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Farnum-Holt Funeral Home, 405 West 7th, Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Additional parking is available across the street at the Glenwood Springs Baptist Church. A reception will follow at his home.
