Dohntae Lee Vasquez

Our precious angel Dohntae passed away on October 31, 2014 after being hit by a bus while trick or treating in Lake Wales, Florida.

Dohntae was 2 years old. He was born in Glenwood Springs, Colorado on February 5, 2012.

He was a sweet loving child, quick to laugh, his laughter filled many a heart with joy. He awoke each day filled with enthusiasm and mischief, as only little boys can. His faithful pup Tater was always at his side.

Dohntae was proud to consider himself a big boy. He was in the process of learning to count and learning his colors. He loved playing with Matchbox cars with his Poppop.

His Mommom will always have special memories of him telling her he loves her to the moon and back.

He loved all super heroes and now will forever be our little Captain America.

Dohntae is survived by his mother, Ashely Vasquez of Orlando, FL, his father Mario Vasquez of Mexico, his older brother Cristian Chavez of New Castle, Grandmother “mommom” Angela Hoerl, Grandfather “poppop” Eric Whitfield of Lake Wales, Florida, Grandmother “meemaw” Terri Wainwright, Grandfather “poppa” Larry Wainwright of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, Great Grandparents Peg Ferguson , Kathleen Wainwright, Judy Trent and Gerald Trent, Gloria Martinez, Larry Martinez. His aunt Katie Morden-Harris , uncle Ryan Rittenhouse USMC, aunt Angel Liss, uncle Jakson Wainwright and many more great aunts, great uncles and cousins.

A private memorial will be held at 1026 Palmer Avenue in Glenwood Springs on Saturday November 22, 2014 at 1 p.m.
