Donald Charles Grange Dec. 1, 1950 — Sept. 17, 2013

Don (Donie) passed away at his home in Glenwood, Sept. 17, 2013. He was born in Glenwood to Leo & Kathryn (Renftle) Grange on Dec. 1, 1950. He spent his first 10 years on the family ranch in Basalt and moved to Glenwood with his family in 1960.

Don graduated from GSHS in 1969, attended Mesa College in Grand Junction and CSU in Fort Collins. Don lived and worked in Aspen and Florida before moving back to Glenwood. In his younger years he belonged to High Country 4-wheelers, was an avid camper, climber and skier, a master photographer, enjoyed gardening, cooking and going to the pool. He volunteered countless hours at Challenge Aspen.

He is preceded in death by his parents and survived by sisters Mary Ruth (Darrell) Chamberlain and Julie Grange, Uncle Ed Grange all of Glenwood, Aunt Ruth (Bob) Scarrow; nephews Tony (Hillary) Chamberlain, Joe (Karen Mah-) Chamberlain and Paul Chamberlain; 3 great-nieces, 2 great-nephews, numerous cousins, many friends and acquaintances.

Donations in Don’s memory may be made to Challenge Aspen.

Graveside services will be September 27 at 10 am at Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood.
