Edward Lee “Bud” Mulcahy

God broke His mold when he made Edward Lee “Bud” Mulcahy.

Born on a rural Texas farm, Bud was the first of his family to attend college, graduating from the University of Texas in 1959.

Bud worked in nuclear research at the University of California at Los Alamos and helped design the Apollo space suit and the heat radiation panels for NASA’s Space Shuttle.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Sandra, children, Lee and Cindy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Bud’s favorite charity, Africa Water Wells.
