Elizabeth “Lisa” Flanery

Elizabeth “Lisa” Flanery passed away peacefully on October 11, 2015, surrounded by her family after a long illness.

She was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 26, 1964, to Wolfgang Remers and Theresia “Resi” Remers-Schreiber. Lisa moved with her family to the Elcho area and graduated in 1982 from Elcho High School. On December 30, 1983, Lisa married Wade Flanery.

They had two daughters, Heather and Tamara Flanery.

Lisa especially enjoyed the years she worked alongside her mother Resi at the Pelican Lake Supper Club. A gifted chef, she went on to establish two award-winning restaurants, the first in Appleton, Wisconsin, and thereafter in Rifle, Colorado. In addition to her passion for cooking, she loved to travel with her husband, visiting and spending time with her grandchildren, her family and her many close friends.
