Elma Fay Blanc (October 2, 1927— August 19, 2016)
Elma Fay Blanc 88, of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, passed away peacefully surrounded with love on August 19, 2016. Elma was born October 2, 1927 in Durango, Colorado to Edward and Grace Wakley. Elma was married to Babe Blanc for 51 years before his passing in 1995, they are now reunited. Elma is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Bill and Wayne, and son in law Jerry Sorensen. Elma is survived by her sister Loretta Mosley, two daughters Carol (Wally) Wareham, and Deedee Sorensen, grandchildren, Travis Wareham, Shannon (Bryan) Derby, Rod (Melissa) Sorensen, and Rick Sorensen, great grandchildren, Natasha and Cody Derby, Nathan Wareham and Tanner, Brycen, and Ian, Sorensen and Breauna, Jerrick, and Jordan, Sorensen. A private family gathering was held, and the scattering of the remains will be held on a later date, no public service will be held due to her wishes. She will be dearly missed as a Mom, Grandma and our forever GG.
