Genevieve Simpson

Genevieve Simpson passed away February 8, 2015 in Glenwood Springs, CO. Born Mary Genevieve Robbins, June 18, 1921 in Sandy, UT to Alfred Ralph and Elizabeth Marie Howard Robbins, she grew up in Midvale and attended Jordan High School then business college. A former resident of Salt Lake County and Rifle, Colorado, she co-founded Simpson Steel and kept the accounts until it moved to Murray. Genevieve was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Preceding her in death were former husband Alvis Newton Simpson, her parents Alfred Ralph and Marie Robbins, brother Edward Louis Robbins, two sisters Virginia Hansen and Dorothy Harkness, and a daughter Diane Marie Simpson. Surviving are sister Ruby Parker, a son Jerry Simpson, two daughters Katie Lynn Adams and Janet Susanne Samson, twelve grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services held Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the Midvale Cemetery at 11:00 am.
