Gerald (Jerry) Dwain Norvell (Feb. 15, 1945 – Oct. 11, 2016)

Gerald (Jerry) Dwain Norvell went to be with his Lord and Savior with family by his side October 11, 2016. He was born in Colorado Springs to Wilfred and Dorothy Norvell February 15, 1945. Jerry became a Navy Seabee in 1963, after graduating from Palmer High School. In 1968 he married the love of his life, Darlene Robbins they enjoyed 48 years together. They have two sons, Mike and Chris. Jerry moved his family to Rifle in 1976. He spent many years as a land surveyor and truck driver before retiring earlier this year. He will forever be known as a generous, fun-loving, faithful man with a heart-of-gold. He will be deeply missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Scott Alan Jones. He is survived by his brother, David (Rosemary) and family; wife Darlene; sons, Mike and Chris; three sisters-in law, brothers-in-law and their families.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rifle United Methodist Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Darlene Norvell at any ANB Bank location or http://www.gofundme.com Jerry Norvell. Rifle Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
