Gladys Edith Petty

Gladys passed away peacefully in her sleep Thursday, 7th May, 2015. She was born in Ipswich, England, in 1925, and immigrated to South Africa with her husband Ron and two young children. 21 Years ago Gladys and Ron moved to the Roaring Fork Valley to be closer to her daughter, Susan Eaton, and two of her grandchildren. Gladys worked at Buddies Pre School in El Jebel before retiring. In her later years the highlight of her week was going to Eagle County Seniors in El Jebel twice weekly for lunch and bingo. Gladys is survived by her daughter Susan Eaton, son Keith Petty, grandchildren Nicole, Ryan, Riley and Logan as well as son-in-law John and daughter-in- law Michelle. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, 16th May, at the Eagle County Building at Crown Mountain in El Jebel (20 Eagle County Rd) at 4:30pm.
