Guy Douglas Syddall

Doug’s Spirit went home peacefully May 14th, 2014, after a long battle with lung disease. Doug lived most of his life in Broomfield Co., but was born In Denver, Co. His family moved to Glenwood Springs, Co., where Doug spent his childhood. He was married to Elizabeth Zimmer Gaul on May 7th, 1979, and had three children. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his love for his family. Doug was a master plumber and took great pride in perfection in his trade. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, until his lungs would no longer allow him to pursue those outdoor activities. Doug was never a stranger, always there for anyone who needed him.

Doug is preceded in death by his father Guy Syddall, and his infant brother Stanley Hugh Syddall.

He is survived by his mother: Mary Syddall. Long time companion: Gail Lyon. Sons: Chris (Nicole), Justin (Mina), and daughter Lezley, as well two stepsons, Shawn and Jacob. Brother and sisters: Allan Syddall, Kathie Squires, and Gyla Stark. Sixteen grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Doug’s life will be held at the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, Red Leaf Ward, in Broomfield, Co., on Friday, May 23rd, 2014, at 11:00 am.
