Harold Edmund Fender

Harold Edmund Fender passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital on December 15, 2015, he was 89.

Harold was born in Glenwood Springs, CO on April 28, 1926. He spent most of his life in the Roaring Fork Valley and would come to marry Ruth Renftle, and later divorce. In 1990 he married Elouise Hammerick, who preceded him in death this last November.

Harold was a lifetime rancher and collectedantique ranching relics. He had a special love of his mules. Harold was an Army Veteran, and a member of the VFW. He is survived by his son’s; Gary (Linda) Fender of Silt, CO, Marvin (Roberta) Fender of DeBeque, CO, step-children; Rick (Prisella) Jurick, Kristi (John) Gill, Jodie (David)Anthes, as well as 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held this Saturday, December 19 at 11am at Rifle Funeral Home. Cremation will take place at Callahan Edfast Mortuary in Grand Junction.
