James Edward Booth (March 25, 1937 — April 16, 2017)

James Edward Booth, 80, passed away April 16, 2017. He was born March 25, 1937, to Woodrow and Mildred Booth in Mack, Colorado. Jim married the love of his life, Mary Jo Mason, on October 17, 1958. Jim had 5 decades of experience working in the lumberyard business where he made lifelong friends. Jim loved to spend time with his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting guns. He also had a love for boating Lake Powell and spending time at Groundhog Reservoir, along with jeeping all over Colorado and Utah. Jim liked to be the center of attention and making people laugh.

He had a huge heart and was never afraid to cry in front of anyone. His grand-daughter Maddison, provided care for Jim the last 2 years of his life. They became very close and shared a lot of special times together. Papa will be missed by all who knew him.

Jim is survived by his son, James (DeeDee) Booth; daughters, Danna (Chris) Nofsinger and Tary (Doug) Martinez. Grandchildren, Roman, Mike, Derek, Nick, Chelsea and Maddison; great-grandchildren, Elle, Hailee, Cache, Nolan, Mya and Ryan; also Sara, his Boston bulldog terrier. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, and his sister, Sonnie Goffinett.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Rifle Funeral Home Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 10:00 a.m.
