James Oley Squires (November 12, 1939 – November 24, 2018)

James Oley Squires (Jim) was born on November 12, 1939, to Okey D. and Arlia M. Squires, in Snowmass Colorado. He passed away on November 24, 2018, at the VA Hospital, in Grand Junction, Colorado, after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis at age 79.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Okey and Arlia Squires, brothers, Carl, Walter (Bud), Jesse (Bob), Okey Jr., Tom, and sister Sharon McClellan. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean, two sons, Jimmy and wife Kathy, Rodney, of Grand Junction, Colo., and daughter Shelley Jo and partner Barbara Benevidez, of Wyoming, brother Gary Squires of Rifle, Colo., and sister Doris (Lonnie) Barber, of Flora Vista, New Mexico, and Sister-In-Law, Audrey (Bud) Squires. He also leaves behind 8 Grandchildren, 8 Great grand children, and numerous nephews and nieces.

Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held on December 17, 2018, at the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, in Grand Junction, Colo., at 3:00 PM
