Jerry Fitch Sept. 13, 1918 — Dec. 16, 2013

Jerry Fitch, age 95, died December 16, 2013, in Scottsdale, AZ. Marcie, his wife of 67 years, predeceased him in 2007.

They owned and operated radio stations KGLN, Glenwood Springs, and KDGO, Durango. Previously, Fitch was a journalist with United Press.

Fitch was instrumental in the 1956 acquisition of the Hot Springs Lodge and Pool by local businesspeople from Frank Kistler.

Fitch was twice president of the Colorado Broadcasters Association and a member of both Code and Public Information Boards of the National Association of Broadcasters. A memorial service will be scheduled in Scottsdale.
