Judy Johns-Hoskins

Hotchkiss resident Judy Johns-Hoskins passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Delta County Memorial Hospital in Delta, Colorado. She was 64 years old.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016, at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Interment will follow at Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.

Judy Johns was born June 7, 1952, to Lee R. and Mable (Tasso) Johns in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. She spent her childhood and attended school in Glenwood Springs, graduating from Glenwood Springs High School. Judy furthered her education at Glenwood Beauty Academy.

Judy owned and operated the Glenwood Café for 22 years. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Glenwood, where she taught religious ed. for 5 years. She was also a lifetime member of the F.O.E #215. Judy later moved to Hotchkiss, Colorado, 5 years ago and became a member of St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church.

Judy enjoyed reading, but most of all she loved playing with her nieces and nephews or any child. She truly loved children.

Judy is survived by her sisters, Dona (Ted) Caughman of Hotchkiss, Colorado, and Janie Daniels of Glenwood Springs, Colorado. She is also survived by one niece, three nephews, five great-nieces, two great-nephews, one great-great-niece, and two great-great-nephews.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Morris Johns.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
