Kenneth Paul Kieck

Kenneth Paul Kieck passed away Feb. 27, 2017, at the age of 67. He was born in Wakefield, Nebraska, to Rev. Harold and Marclen Kieck. His family moved to Carroll, Iowa, where he spent most of his youth. After graduating from Carroll High School the family moved to Glenwood Springs, Colorado, where Ken enjoyed the mountain environment and used his business education in a series of work experiences including hotel management, gas company accounting, hardware store supervision and a career in law enforcement both for the city of Glenwood Springs and the county of Garfield. He was a longtime member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Glenwood Springs until its close and currently attended Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Rifle.

Ken was the beloved husband of Sherri and loving father of Kyle and Kristopher (Janelle) and proud grandfather of Harper and Addison. In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by his mother Marcy Kieck of Glenwood Springs and his sisters Kitty (Gary) of Livonia, MI, and Marion (Keith) of Grand Junction, CO, and two nieces and their families in MI. He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Harold Kieck. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office Trauma Team, 107 8th Street, Glenwood Springs, Colorado 81601.

A Memorial Service will be held April 8, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 652 East 5th Street, Rifle, Colorado.
