Lawrence Payne Forman

Lawrence (Larry) Payne Forman, Jr., 97, of Parachute, passed away March 18, 2016.

Larry was born November 20, 1918, to Lawrence and Ethel Longanecker Forman in Oakmont, PA. Larry served in the US Army during WWII from 1941 to 1946. On January 7, 1943, he married Eleanor (Perky) Perkins. Larry graduated with a degree in forestry from Iowa State and was employed in the U.S. Forest Service in Wyoming and Colorado. Larry and Perky moved to Battlement Mesa in 1985. Larry is preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Freni, and wife Eleanor (Perky). He is survived by his sons John of Clifton, CO, Bill of Rollinsville, CO, and Larry and wife Carol of Battlement Mesa; grandchildren Darren of Lafayette, CO, and Ross of San Francisco, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
