Linda R. DeGeus

Linda R. DeGeus passed away December 29, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, CO, at the age of 70. She was born November 7, 1944, to Clifford and Ruth Standlee. Linda grew up in Grand Valley, Colorado. Linda met her husband, Ron, in Los Angeles. They moved to Glenwood Springs where they raised two children. Ron and Linda later retired in Grand Junction. They got married on September 30, 1973.

Linda enjoyed creating earrings and jewelry, tending to her garden and flowers, watching after her granddaughter, and volunteering her help. Linda touched and inspired many people throughout her life.

She is survived by her mother, Ruth Choate of Grand Junction; her husband, Ronald of Grand Junction; her children, Richard DeGeus and Desirae DeGeus, both of Grand Junction; one granddaughter, Liliann DeGeus, and her brothers, Cliff Standlee of Tempe, AZ, and Bill Wood of Carson, CA.

Linda is preceded in death by her father Clifford Standlee and her aunt Jody Lindauer. Visitation was will be Friday, January 2, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, 2515 Patterson Road, Grand Junction, CO. Memorial contributions can be made to the National Stroke Association, 9707 East Easter Lane, Suite B, Centennial, CO 80112.
