Lorene Ellen Vashus (January 27, 1943 — April 20, 2019)

Lorene Ellen Vashus graduated from earth on April 20, 2019, when she passed away suddenly at her home in Grand Junction, CO. She was born to Charles and Winona Russell on January 27, 1943, in Denver, Colorado. Lorene grew up in Indian Hills, CO, with her five siblings. Lorene was anything but dull — making a dull day funny, either accidentally or on purpose.

She met the love of her life, Clifford Leroy Vashus, in April 1962 on a blind date. They fell in love quickly. They married and began their adventurous life together. With their daughter and two sons they traveled extensively. Lorene is survived by: her husband, Cliff of Grand Junction, CO; sisters Ruthie Clawson and Barbara Baker; brothers Clay Russell and Randy Russell; and sons Chris Vashus and Bryan Vashus. Lorene is proceeded in death by her parents, brothers — Gilbert and Charlie Alan, and her daughter Pamela Pottberg. Her celebration of life service is on Friday, April 26, at Battlement Mesa Recreation Center at 2:00 PM. Address: 398 Arroyo Dr, Battlement Mesa, CO 81635.
