Madeline E. Davidson

Madeline E. Davidson, 88, of Ottumwa, IA, passed away at 2 a.m. May 19, 2015, at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, CO. She was born August 28, 1926, in Wapello County, IA, to Paul and Golda Gullett Day. She married Leonard “Lad” Davidson on May 18, 1947, in Ottumwa. They were married for 55 years. He preceded her in death on January 2, 2002. A graduate of Hedrick High School, she attended the Iowa Success School. Madeline had worked at Union Bank & Trust and at Ottumwa High School. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church since 1947 and served as the Congregational Visitor for 30 years. Madeline was also a member of United Methodist Women and P.E.O. Madeline was a devoted member of her church and was counted on as a constant contributor to and volunteer for the many and varied activities of the church. Surviving are two daughters, Sue (Loran) Randles of Glenwood Springs, CO, and Justine (Jim) Eller of Belmont, CA; as well as two grandsons, Nick and Jeff Randles of Dallas, TX. Funeral services were held in Ottumwa on May 27, 2015. Reece Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church.
