Marilyn G. Hotz

Marilyn died peacefully at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs.

She was born in Denver and adopted by Donald and Florence (McDonough) Ramsey of Loveland. She attended the Loveland school system until her graduation in 1948. She then went on to graduate from Colorado State University in 1952. She taught English at Fort Morgan before moving to Rifle, where she met and married Martin G. Hotz in 1957. They had three children. They were later divorced. She continued as a substitute from many years in Glenwood Springs before retiring from Colorado Mountain College after 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Marti Lynn Applebaugh.

She is survived by her son Mark of Glenwood Springs, daughter Michele of Silt, nephews Scott of Grand Junction, and Tracy of Colorado Springs, granddaughters Aimee of Grand Junction, Ronda of Cleveland, Georgia, one great-grandson and three great-granddaughters.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
