Marilyn Miller Super (Feb. 5, 1947 — Feb. 12, 2017)

With a passion for life until her last breath, Marilyn Super passed away on February 12, 2017, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Just one week earlier, nearly twenty family members and friends celebrated her 70th birthday with song, flowers, stories and laughter. Marilyn moved to Glenwood Springs in 1958 with her parents Paul and Mary Miller, and she graduated from high school there in 1965. She attended Grinnell College in Iowa, which is where she met her husband, Douglas Super. They moved to Vancouver, BC, in 1971. Marilyn touched the lives of many students and colleagues during her career as a teacher and school counselor. She is survived by her husband Douglas, daughter Laura Super and sister Vicki Nelson. In lieu of flowers, Marilyn would want donations made to a scholarship fund at Eric Hamber Secondary School or St. John Hospice in Vancouver, BC.
