Mary Helen was born Jan. 19, 1928 in San Antonio Texas, to Juanita and Miguel Martinez and left this world Dec. 20, 2013 in Glenwood Springs.

She is survived by her children, Mariano “Sunny” Alvarez of Glenwood Springs, Marlene (Jimmy) Lucero of Fernley, NV, Monica (Eddie) Muniz of Glenwood Springs, Jose Alvarez of Colorado Springs and Marcus (Patty) Alvarez of Las Cruces, NM. Also 12 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary Helen will be most remembered for her impeccable voice and amazing artistic and musical abilities. She loved the outdoors, gardening and listening to music. Please join us as we celebrate her life.
