Michael Leroy Bean

Michael Bean, age 56, passed away peacefully with family by his side. He was ill for a while before a short stay in Valley View Hospital and then resided in Grace Healthcare in Glenwood Springs, CO, until his passing. Mike was born April 5, 1957, to Donald L. and Minnie M. (Rowland) Bean in Colorado Springs, CO. They both preceded him in death.

A career drywaller, he lived in several parts of the country before coming back to the valley in the mid-’80s. He remained at home to help care for his parents until their final days. Mike was an avid bowler, and loved playing cribbage and cards with family and friends. He loved shooting targets, playing golf and deep sea fishing when he lived in Boston, Mass.

Mike is survived by sister Connie (David) Wagner of New Castle, CO, and brother Ed (Cheryl) Bean of Glenwood Springs, CO; nephews, Dustin (Karli) Bovee and sons Blake and Reece, Ryan Bovee and son Dakota and Adam Bean; nieces, April Chan and daughters Kacie Burris, Kylee Batson-Bovee and Ameryst Jensen, Gennie and Heather Bean; uncle Robert Rowland of Glenwood Springs, CO, and numerous aunts and uncles and cousins.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service is planned for the spring for Mike and his father Donald Bean.
