Natalie J. Gardner

Natalie, a lifelong resident of Glenwood Springs, fell asleep in death on July 19, 2013, at the age of 82.

Natalie was born to Roy A. and Margaret MacTavish, in Glenwood Springs and was the youngest of four children. Natalie became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in September 1940 and remained faithful to her death. Natalie married Herbert L. Gardner, Sr., on June 26, 1948, in San Antonio, Texas. They had four children: Trudy Delsas, Herbert L. Gardner Jr., Steven Gardner and Sandra Hall.

Natalie enjoyed many outdoor activities including swimming, fishing and camping. Natalie greatly enjoyed her burros and pugs. Many will remember Natalie from Valley View Hospital where she work for 22 years as a CNA and housekeeper in family birthplace.

Natalie is survived by her sons, Herb (Gwen) and Steve; and daughter Sandy (Larry); twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Margaret (Burdge); brothers Leroy and Ira MacTavish; sister Louise Price; husband Herb and daughter Trudy.

There will be a memorial service Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Glenwood. Located at 0101 Airport Road.
