Nathaniel Paul Russo (Dec. 29, 1994 — March 20, 2017)

Nathaniel Paul Russo, beloved youngest son of Mark and Lesa Russo and brother of Jacob, Joshua and Aaron, died unexpectedly and abruptly the evening of March 20, 2017. Nathan, 22, leaves behind a legacy of love for which language is inadequate. He lived his whole life as though he somehow knew it would not be measured in multiple decades. It was short, but it was full.

He loved as well as any human can. He was a beautiful young man without inhibitions of any kind and who never harbored unkindness toward others. His contagious smile and laugh found its way easily into people’s hearts. Nathan loved skiing, kayaking, 4 wheeling, camping, fishing, singing, dancing and free pie Wednesdays at Village Inn.

He was known to break into song often without fair warning. Nathan’s friends describe a “Nathan dance move” called the Downward Bus Driver that was by all accounts truly something to behold. In addition to his extended immediate family, Nathan leaves behind the love of his life, Katlyn Majkut, and more friends than most people make in 100 years. One of his best friends, Eddie Medrano, died in the same tragic accident, but they both died doing what they loved, riding their motorcycles.

The family will honor Nathan’s life with a celebration being planned later this spring.

For now they would like to express their eternal and heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love they have received in so many forms over the days since Nathan’s death.
