Norene White Simmonds

Born August 6, 1950 in Price, Utah to Bill and LaRue White, Passed March 28, 2016 at her home in Lakewood Colorado. She graduated high school in Vernal, Utah in 1968, then college in Salt Lake City. She worked for Colorado Mountain College for 28 years, and lived in Carbondale for over 40 years. She is preceded in death by her husband Dan Simmonds, and is survived by her daughter Elena Vaomasiona, son-in law James, her daughter Anna Simmonds, grandson’s Ely and Lukas, her brother Mike White and his wife Nancy, her brother Emory White, as well as many extended family members. She was a hard working unstoppable woman ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. She imported light and joy to all who knew her. She was an active member of the American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary for decades, she liked to crochet, bowl, new technology and most of all spending time with her friends and family. A remembrance gathering will be held on April 23, 2016 at the American Legion in Carbondale beginning at high noon.
