Obituary: Curtis Cain

  

Curtis Joe Cain, 71, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Curt was born on Sept. 3, 1941, to Nelson and Edith Cain in Glenwood Springs. Curt graduated from Aspen High School in 1959 and was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1965.

Curt committed the last 30 years of his life to help spread the Word of God and further the ministry. He loved The Lord with all his heart. He was dedicated to his Aspen Patrol Security business and its success. Curt had a passion for sports, in particular the Denver Broncos — being a season ticket holder for the last 22 years.

Curt is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Barbara; son Paul and his wife Debbie, son Phil and his wife Cinnamon, twin sister Leona Lonberger; sister Irene Stone; grandchildren Jakob, Johnathan and Addison. Curt was a loving father, husband and grandfather.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 10, 2013, at Farnum-Holt funeral home in Glenwood Springs at 1 p.m. with Pastor Dave York officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Basalt.
