Dale Eino Mytty, 44, of Carbondale, CO passed away and was found on February 20, 2025 in his backyard hobo hut. The autopsy report revealed he experienced a hypertensive brain bleed.
Dale was born on September 27, 1980 in Litchfield, MN, the 10th child of Ruben and Helen (Greku) Mytty. Dale grew up in Cokato, MN where the family home for many years was on Lee Circle. From a young age, Dale spent most of his time outdoors regardless of the season. Countless hours were spent down at the creek and at the skating rink with his friends and brothers. He loved fishing, camping, hunting, hiking, asparagus and mushroom hunting, and exploring the woods. Dale moved to CO in 2000 where a lot of his family had already moved to. His love of the outdoors flourished, and he also started gardening. For Mother’s Day 2022 he planted a rose bush for his mother to look at every morning while enjoying her coffee. He always had a fishing pole in his truck and would often stop by the river to throw his line. He read the newspapers daily and always had a book to read in the evening. Dale was a proud son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was full of life and looked for the good in everyone. He was humble and readily admitted his shortcomings and addiction to alcohol. He was quick to forgive and forget because he knew he had his own faults and hoped for the same. He made friends everywhere he went. He loved spending time with his family and sharing the vegetables he grew, the fish he caught, the turkey, deer, or elk he shot and often cooked these for family and friends. He loved sharing his passion of the outdoors with his nieces and nephews and often took them on adventures. He was a diehard MN Vikings fan and for hockey the CO Avalanche.
Dale is survived by his parents Ruben and Helen Mytty and siblings Denise (Tom) Tomaskovic, Deanna (Ken) Janckila, Diann (Marc) Kroeger, Darla Gordon, Debbie Putman, Darrell Mytty, Darrick Mytty, Doug (Pauliina) Mytty, Devin Mytty, David Mytty, Duane (Siri) Mytty, and Dana Rose. He is further survived by 41 nieces and nephews, 56 great nieces and nephews, and 1 great great nephew. Dale is preceded in death by his brother Dan Mytty, grandparents John and Taimi Mytty and Eino and Hilma Greku.
