Dorothy Jean (Llewellyn) Artaz passed away December 22, 2021. Born August 1,1930 to Rees and Grace Llewellyn. She grew up a proud coal miners daughter and graduated from Garfield County High School and Parks School of Business. She married Henry (Hank) Artaz on April 2,1949.
She became a legal secretary in Glenwood Springs and co-owner , with Hank, of a furniture store in California.
They returned from California in 1997 to Grand Junction where they retired.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Children: Rick (Shiela), Rhonda (Darreld), Jay (Nancy)
Grand children: Wendy, Shelby (Lucas), Jayson (Lauren), Kelbey (Hannah).
Great grandchildren: Ethan,Hunter, Ella, Payton, Landon, Emberley and Avym.
She was preceded in death by her parents Rees and Grace (Hoffmeister) Llewellyn, brother Joe Llewellyn, sister, Nancy Blanchard and son Jay Artaz.
A memorial service will be held in the summer.
