Earl Ray O’Neal, 76 years old, passed away suddenly at his home on 11-9-2023.
Earl was born in Princeton, MO and the family moved to Rifle in 1949. He grew up on Miller Lane and attended Rifle High School. Earl married his high school sweetheart, Marjorie Brown, in 1965 and they had two daughters, Sandra and Sharon. They later divorced in 1987. Earl served in the Navy from 1965 to 1969 as a gunners mate.
He worked several jobs and retired from Dahl Plumbing in 2009.
Earl met Martha and married in 1998 and lived in Rifle.
He loved to hunt, fish, and golf. His biggest passion was bowling and he is in the International Bowling Hall of Fame for his two perfect games. You might have known him as Earl the Pearl. He was a lifetime member of the Rifle Elks Lodge #2195. Earl was a kind, gentle soul and made me smile every day.
Survived by wife, Martha, daughters Sandra (Jeff) Stuck in Illinois, Sharon (Andrew) Webb in California, sisters Ellen (David) Grewe in Missouri and Carol Klocker in Rifle. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death was his father, Edwin, mother, Marjorie, and sister Evelyn.
A celebration of life will be held in May.
